I wanna RUN AWAY from here!

Because I think I ate too much. 

No no no think positively. It's just a yoghurt. And 1/10 bag of Ruffles.

Race Day

Okay, I know I said that I wasn't as thrilled as last year, but when the race day approached, I couldn't wait to be there, and when I reached City Hall and saw and felt the F1 atmosphere, I became so excited again!!! Especially to see the drivers parade of course, the most important part of the event.

We went with Steffi, my F1 and tennis buddy. Hahahaha. We both love Kimi and Roddick.

Hfff but it's so disappointing finding that this year, watching the race without ticket was not easy and even almost impossible. They blocked the view with thicker and firmer barriers huhhhuuuuu.

From 'not to excited' to suddenly desperate. We even thought of buying walkabout tickets but apparently the 'cheap' ones were (yea of course) already sold out.

We sadly left the ticket counter.

Then we walked around thinking what to do then, ... we walked near Seoul Garden to see if the area's 'open'.

And thank God! It was!
Yaaayy at least we saw all of them again, even though they're so far and we're not really sure which one's which hahahaha. But we saw them all. Yeaaaa so I can tell people I meet F1 racers once a year. Hahahaha.

Then we had dinner in Yoshinoya while waiting for the race to start. It's a combo! (Funny coz I'd kill myself for ordering combo meal back in foundation year hahahaha...)
But Steffi decided to went home after dinner. Hmm I pity interior students :( Last year she also had to leave early because of those models, technical drawings, AutoCad, and stuff.

Next year we WILL buy at least the Sunday ticket. Okay Steff?? Hahahaha.

So for these 2 years, Formula 1 means a date with God :) Hahahaha. Thanks God for the supercool experience!

The race finally started. We stood there among fellow kiasu people for the first and second laps only. I love the loud nguuuuuunggg sounddd!!! Then we left as planned.

Something funny, when I was about to leave, I saw the race from TV in a cafe (which is practically surrounded by F1 tracks). It's on TV but it's happening around the TV itself. I saw the picture from outside but I heard the actual sound, the audio's live!

And thanks God, the timing for going down the escalator was so perfect hahaha, I saw several cars in front of me so clearly!

Okay okay. Time to really leave. I was a bit sad leaving the loud sounds.

So...Singapore GP is over?

But after leaving City Hall, Hmm, I'm fine, I guess it's true that I wasn't as excited as last year. But I really thank God for today. If we didn't manage to see a thing, we'd deeply regret it.

And if we didn't see a thing, we wouldn't be able to say, ..."yeaaa I meet F1 racers once a year,,,"

Then I went home, finding my poor interior roommate and her poor interior friend doing Sketch Up. Pity them really.

So apparently Hamilton won the GP. I stopped worrying about who wins the race after Kimi Raikkonen won the world champ title in 2007. It's enough :)

Now, time to worry about Roddick. Hahahaha. Roddick for Wimbledon!

First "Official" Day of Project Week

Yes it started from Saturday, just to make us feel even better.

Today we ate alot. It started with a bowl of Korean ramen in Bujunc for lunch, then we walked to Iluma, then to Raffles City.



This is one of my fav. crossroads in Singapore. I like the atmosphere (banyak bule).
Then yaaay. Esplanade. Love it. I can smell a . r . t in every corner.

When I went to SG for the first time, I wanted to see the building soo bad more than I wanted to see the Merlion. Then I found out that they're so close to each other. Then after few months I realized everything is close to each other.

Okay then we went to Marina Square to...eat. Again.



Oh the F1 Singapore GP will be held this coming Friday to Sunday.



Last year we spent a day to chase Nico Rosberg (thank God, it's pretty easy), a day to chase Kimi Raikkonnen (it's my junior high's dream!!!!---that day was sooo beautiful!), a day to walk around and study the track (hoping we would meet a racer along the way hahaha) and finding the best spots to watch (or peep), a day to watch the qualifying (from afar), a day to watch the drivers parade (from afar), and the actual race (thank God, from just a few meters away from the cars!)

Not that excited but I would definitely come again if there will be another Kimi's meet and greet!

Then we went to Ion to find 'something' hehehe, and to buy a birthday gift from my friend. This is the cuteeee b'day card I bought for her. CUTEEE.

It's almost 2 a.m and I was still busy wrapping the b'day present.The roommate (who was about to sleep) saw me and gave suggestions on how to do it more creatively, then she got up again to help me, then we ended up experimenting with the decoration. Happily. We had to wake up early the next morning but wrapping gifts is too fun!

I'm not in the Mood for Being Left Alone :( and Thank God I'm not :)

Aduh saya kecewa :( agak sedikiiiit kecewa (banget). Hahahaha.

Dan merasa butuh dikunjungi (manjaaaaaa).

But I won't let this ruin my Sunday. I just have to figure out what to do then.

I guess I'll spend the rest of today along Orchard Road, there must be..err..thousands? of Indonesians who went to SG for this long weekend. Oh btw, mohon maaf lahir batin yah semuaaa...

I loveee hearing them speak. I love seeing their faces (yes we can tell which one's Indo and which one's not). I love watching them being tourists who don't really know directions and procedures and their awkward English, and remembering myself being in that stage years ago.

I love seeing their extravagant shopping. I want to do the same thing.




Thank God You are always there. To be found. To be a friend.

The Ugly Truth

Okay, tomorrow is the advertising project deadline and I just reached home. Watching movie :) Great. Today's The Ugly Truth SG premiere day and I love watching movies in their exact release date (if I can), even if the next day is submission day.

The movie was just okay. It's actually below expectation but yeaaa rom-coms are always very entertaining. It made me forget about the projects for more than an hour. I felt bad a little for going out before deadline, quite worried (okay I freaked out a bit deep inside) imagining my friends were probably at home doing their works, but thank God, I reached home finding actually my homeworks are mostly done :)

And today is another successful dinnerless day :) Hahahaha.

Nausea

For the first time of my life, I am willing, to throw up. 

I always hatteeee vomiting or the feeling of going to vomit. 

I always avoid vomiting.

This is all because I ate too much.

If I could turn back time I wouldn't eat that noodle. But it tasted real good. So yeaa...

Foundation Year


The year I will never forget.

The year when I experienced so many things for the first time.

The year when I learned so much about life and how to live.

The time when the lecturers seemed to be happy with everything I did.

The time when I didn't mind spending weekends staying at home doing homeworks.

The time when I'm still very young and hopeful.

And I was naive.

The time when I l.o.v.e having sleepless nights and my body was okay with it.

I miss my foundation year.

More than I miss high school. Of course. Hahaha.

Hopefully and prayerfully, Level 2 is so much better! Amen.



Foundation year is also the time when I learned a lot about how to always rely on God. There were some time when I felt powerless, and nothing I could do, but God, never fails to amaze me with His miraculous ways of solving those mountains of problem.

Thank You Lord for being my best friend at all times :)

Teleeeeee - Vision

Tuh kan. Kalo pergi sama nenek pasti saya makan malam.

I went to nenek's to tutor her for the Dreamweaver project. Can you believe that? I TUTORed someone, s.o.f.t.w.a.r.e. I know it's quite easy but it sounds super incredible remembering how gaptek I am.

Then she wanted to go to I.T fair. NO. NO. NO. Especially today : Saturday, imagine how crowded would it be, because people, normally, are interested in the I.T world. I really don't like going to those places, even the small ones. I'm just not interested. Even zoo is much better.

I knowwww it would be very hard for us, so called post-modern people, to live without them, and I'm so thankful to be born in the late 20th century, and studied in this sophisticated country, and for having this lappie, but I.T Fair---just too much. Hahahaha.

So she went there with Cindy, but I went to Suntec too for Korean Ramen. It's okayy I didn't have any meal the previous day hahahaha. And yeah Suntec was super duper crowded. Good luck nenek.

And I saw people carrying new plasma TVs, reminded me of what I see every night from the 'new' window.
The building across my place is a luxurious residence. See those plasma TVs? I never thought I'd ever say this but envy them a little bit, for having a TV. Hahaha.

Sorry Lord, I know I'm being so ungrateful. Being so blessed to live this privileged life but still bother about a TV. From now on, I'll appreciate those facilities in Indo. (Even if I don't have them in Indo, I'd still have to be super grateful for this super good life God gives to me.)

So on the third TV, it's all green so you know it's a soccer game. I could see the motion but it wasn't clear enough too see who's playing.

About a week ago I saw tennis. Also green, but with only 2 people running here and there. Gotta be U.S open! I saw a man's face, close up shot, it's Federer! Yaay 1st time recognizing a person from this LDV, Long Distance Viewing. I wanted a TV sooo badddd (I'm not a huge tennis fan like my dad, but after watching the last Federer - Roddick Wimbledon's final I became a Roddick fan, but he's out of U.S Open anyway).

Something I wanna tell them, please remove those translucent curtains away so I can see better. Hehehe.

Never mind. I can live without TV. I never said it's easy tho.

This is not a Pocky Commercial

In the middle of awaiting deadlines, I have to blog about this one. I just have to!

So I just got home, from an extraordinary and long long journey,

to find this ultimate product from Japan.

POCKY CHOCO BANANA

Okay, so my next studio project is to advertise a product, last Friday we did a lucky dip and I got Pocky Choco Banana, the school gave us the photo, and we had to find the actual product ourselves.

What's so hard about finding a box of Pocky? That's what I thought. I'm not a fan, for me they're not creamy enough (later I found that there are so manyyy kindss of Pocky including the super-creamy ones, selling mostly in Japan) but I know Pocky sticks are literally everywhere.

So today (2 days from the next studio class) I had lunch in Far East Plaza. Subway again. 3rd time in a week. Full meal. I planned to buy the Pocky after that, maybe in Tanglin Mall, just behind my place, or in Taka's Cold Storage. Then I decided to go to Taka first, in case I couldn't find it in Tanglin then I wouldn't have to walk back to Taka.

In Cold Storage. Okay : Chocolate Pocky, Strawberry Pocky, Pocky Crust, Men's Pocky , and Pretz. No Choco Banana. I didn't see any other stick pretzels in a box from Glico. The rest are from Meiji.

Okay. I walked around and still couldn't find anything. And I saw a stall full of Japanese snacks and sweets just in front of the supermarket, ...... and it's apparently a MEIJI STALL. There's no way I can find Pocky there.

And I decided to try Tanglin Mall, I tried a 7-11 in Orchard station, and it's almost the same. Wow. I didn't know the flavors other than Chocolate and Strawberry are rare.

So I decided to take MRT to Dhoby Ghout to try Carrefour and Daiso. I remember my lecturer told us to try Daiso if you can't find the products in normal places. I wasn't sure about finding Pocky in Daiso tough, although it's a Japanese product. Never mind, I was quite sure about Carrefour because I know they have the Japanese tidbits section.

So I went to that section. Same result. But this time they had the giant strawberry and..ehm.. Almond Crust?

So. It's official. Choco Banana IS rare.

I had to see Daiso then. I prayed that I'd find it there, otherwise.. where else? I entered the store with a big hope seeing the colourful food section. Walking slowly and couldn't find it, then once again and still couldn't find it, then asked the staff who said no, they didn't have it.

Ow God, where else should I go?

Okay. Tanglin Mall. It's a 'mall for expats' so I really hopeee they sell more imported products (from Japan).

I tried 2 other 7-11s on the way, both of them didn't even sell Pocky.

I prayed and prayed along the way. Then I arrived in Tanglin Mall, anxiously walked to the Japanese section. Chocolate Pocky. Strawberry Pocky. Pretzs. YanYan (not even Glico's). etc. No Choco Bananaaaa!!!!!

Okay I was disappointed and felt that this really wasted my time. Going here and there with no result. Then I walked back home, thinking hmm,, should I e-mail the lecturer instead requesting any other products because I can't find a Pocky in Singapore (which I don't think anybody will believe)? ---I spent these days researching about Pocky :(

On the way home, I saw a small money changer not far from there that sells snacks. I told my self there's nothing wrong to try. And guess what.

Found it.

Money changer. Behind my place. After all this time and those places.

Wow.

Once again, I can say that God never disappoints me. I know He's the one who showed me the way.

Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was jumping and screaming inside. Hahahaha. Yaaaaaayyy.

Walking back home so freelyyyy :) I tell you what's in my mind : When I asked God to help me find it, He laughed and said , "Okay, but walk with me and burn those calories first,"

Hahaha. Imagine if I found the Pocky straight away. I wouldn't appreciate the 'grace' this much.
I wouldn't experience the adventure. I wouldn't feel such a relieve (that feels goooood). And I wouldn't have burned the calories. Hahahaha.

I know it may sounds silly-the Pocky thingy, but that was truly, one of the ways of God, to remind me of how He takes care of me, never leaves me, and always helps me.

So. I had a moment of being unreasonable today. Siang ini ceritanya, because of something,  gw sempet bengong (banget) dan bingung (banget) mo makan apa (hahahahaha) and suddenly homesick (padahal it's just because of a small tiny microscopic thing loh).

Terus gw mikir, duh kalo gw di Jakarta pasti ga bakal begini, soalnya kan ada yang ngurusin gw,...

Ooops. It's sounds simple but it's a serious offense. Maap ya Tuhan,,,

What was I thinking? My Father is here. And He takes care of me better than anyone else can do. Gw diurusin kog, banget.

Boy Noya is Following Me on Twitter!

Well, I guess he's just one of the humble celebs who click the 'follow' button on every followers' profile page. Norak sih, but I'm happy!!! Hahahahaha, Boy Noya is one of my fav. sport presenters.

And it reminds me of, Tamara Geraldine, my favorite female sport presenter, she's funny and she UNDERSTANDs the games because she's just passionate about sport, although sometimes she gets 'emotionally' carried away LIKE ME, I remember her telling the media that she cried when Argentina was kicked out from 2002 World Cup and she still had to close the show. Must be tough, I understand.

And the days when Serie A was still broadcasted by RCTI. Its golden days. With all the extra football-tainments and the 'salam olahraga!'. Viva 90's!

Until now I find that RCTI is still the best in broadcasting and hosting sport events.
